Dear Captain Morgan’s Vacation Beach Club Owner,

We have important news and updates that we are pleased to share with you today.

With the opening of our new timeshare reservations office this year, we’ve been making a significant effort to streamline the accounts management and payment processing.

This effort has resulted in improvements to the billing schedule for your maintenance fees.

Invoices issued on November 1, 2018

Invoices for the 2019 maintenance fees will be issued on November 1st, 2018 to ensure that all of the accounting can be completed before reservations are made in 2019.

From November 1, 2018, you will have a full 60 days to review and make payment.

There will be no change to the way reservations are booked. As always, owners with multiple weeks (or two and three bedroom units) can begin booking on January 2nd, 2019.

Owners with one-bedroom weeks will be able to start booking on February 1st, 2019.

Save the Envelope and Pay Online

Another exciting improvement is the introduction of a secure submission form that will allow you to submit credit card details online at your convenience. No need to make a trip to the post office!

You can rest easy knowing that all information is secured using the most advanced SSL encryption available.

For your convenience, representatives are also now available during business hours, 7 days a week.

2018 Property Improvements

In the last year, there have been substantial changes at Captain Morgan’s Retreat.

A large number of the timeshare units received a refresh over the September maintenance period, and all of the timeshare units will have been renovated by the end of 2018. This includes updates to interior finishing & furniture, new bed linens, towels, upgraded air conditioning, upgraded bathroom fixtures and more.

Significant renovations have also been undertaken in other areas of the property, including expansions to our casino, a new tour center, an expanded grocery store, the newly opened Sparadise beachfront spa, an upgraded laundry facility, and a new front desk area with a dedicated check-in for timeshare owners. In addition to these changes, new coconut palms were planted, new paddleboards and kayaks have been purchased, and a K9 security team has been introduced onto the property.

We have many more changes and improvements planned, and will be sure to keep you updated as that work is completed!

Maintenance & Sargassum Seaweed Cleanup

Captain Morgan’s is dedicated to keeping the property and beach maintained to the highest possible standards. Your maintenance fees are put towards the landscaping, groundskeeping, upkeep of accommodations, maintenance of the pool, security, hydro, and more.

As many of you may be aware, along with many other properties in the Caribbean, our beaches have been severely affected by Sargassum seaweed this year, and this has unfortunately resulted in significantly increased costs.

Your maintenance fees are not increasing for 2019, but due to the sargassum epidemic, we have had to conduct a special assessment and will be charging an additional one-time fee of $45.

These funds will go directly towards addressing the significant expenses being incurred to keep our beach clean.

This covers just a fraction of the total cost, but we’ve done everything possible to keep the cost to you as low as possible (and will continue to do so).

We want to ensure that all of our valued timeshare owners have an enjoyable beach getaway, and appreciate your support and understanding!

New Timeshare Website

On December 1, 2018, we are launching a new website dedicated to our valued timeshare owners. This will be a place for owners to stay up-to-date with the exciting things happening at the property. The site will include a full newsletter archive, information about accommodations, helpful hints for booking with Interval International, and additional information regarding reservation processes and policies.
