In Time Share Owners

Dear Captain Morgan’s Vacation Beach Club Owner,

We hope this letter finds you well!  We have important news and updates to share with you today. We have continued our efforts to streamline the account management and payment processes, and we are pleased to continue with the improved billing schedule this year.

You will find enclosed your invoice for the 2020 maintenance fees.  As was the case in 2018, invoices were issued on November 1st to ensure that all billing and administrative work can be completed before reservations are placed in 2020.  You will once again have a full 60 days to remit payment versus the 30 days offered in previous years.

These changes have allowed us to become much more efficient at facilitating reservations at the start of each year.  We want to make sure we can get your beach getaway booked as soon as possible!

The reservations schedule will remain unchanged.  Owners with multiple weeks are welcome to start making reservations on January 2nd.  Owners with single week contracts will be able to start booking on February 1st.

For clarity, annual and odd year contract holders will be able to book their 2021 stays in 2020. If you have an even year contract, you are welcome to continue booking stays for travel in 2020.  If you are unsure which type of contract you have, please contact us so we can review your account with you.

Save the Envelope and Pay Online

As you may remember, we introduced a secure online payment form in 2018, and this has been a great success! This payment option allows you to submit credit card information at your convenience, 24 hours a day.  You can rest easy knowing that your information is secured using the most advanced SSL encryption available.

Our reservations team is also available during business hours, 7 days a week. Please feel free to call us at

1-800-316-4229 if you would like to make your payment over the phone. Checks are also welcome, and a preaddressed envelope has been included if you would prefer to remit payment by mail.

Timeshare Website

In 2018, we launched our Timeshare website and over the last year we’ve continued to improve and expand it, most notably, with the introduction of a reservation request form.

The site also includes a newsletter archive, information about accommodations, photos, helpful hints for booking with Interval International, and additional information regarding reservation processes and policies. We invite you to visit for all of our latest news and updates.

2019 Property Improvements

As many of you may be aware, the 2019 maintenance period was extended to allow our maintenance team to undertake a number of extensive projects.  Highlights of exterior work includes:

  • Almost all pimento siding has been replaced on the exteriors of the timeshare buildings.
  • The roofs of two of the timeshare buildings have been completely replaced.
  • Three of the timeshare buildings have had roofs constructed over the stairwells and walkways to ensure you stay dry if it happens to rain.
  • The beach has been extended at the south end of the property, and a sea wall has been constructed around this area to ensure it remains clean and free of sargassum.
  • The pool at the south end of the property has been completely retiled, and the pool deck has been expanded.

We’re happy to share that the timeshare accommodations also saw significant attention.  Examples include:

  • The kitchen counters in numerous A-side units have been re-tiled.
  • Numerous bathroom floors and vanities were re-tiled.
  • A number of porch floor tiles were sanded, stained and varnished.
  • New televisions have been installed in a number of units.
  • New safes have been installed in a number of the units.
  • Faucets and fixtures have been replaced in a number of units.

Our maintenance team has also kept up with the routine maintenance and landscaping to ensure that everything is shipshape for the coming season. We’re extremely proud of the hard work undertaken by our staff, and we hope you have a chance to enjoy these many improvements in the coming year!

2020 Maintenance Fees

At Captain Morgan’s, we are committed to maintaining a high standard so that we can continue to provide the best possible vacation experience for you, our valued timeshare owners. In order to continuing maintaining this standard, maintenance fees have increased by 5% to help us keep pace with the increasing costs of goods and services in Belize.

As mentioned above, we have undertaken many renovations and maintenance projects in 2019, and the cost of these enhancements significantly exceeded the timeshare operating budget.  We are happy to share that this expense has been completely absorbed by Captain Morgan’s Retreat. We are committed to investing in and improving the property, and this is being done at the property’s expense to ensure that we can deliver an industry-leading vacation experience for years to come.
