How to Travel from Belize City to Ambergris Caye

Once in Belize City, you have two options for traveling to the island of Ambergris Caye: a 15 minute flight or a 1.5 hour water-taxi ride. Flights and water taxis both arrive in San Pedro, the largest town on the island.

	A 15-minute flight with Tropic Air or Maya Island Air is the quickest and most convenient way to get to San Pedro.	Another popular and affordable option is to take a 1.5 hour Water Taxi trip from Belize City to Ambergris Caye with San Pedro Belize Express or Ocean Ferry Belize.

Transfers from the San Pedro Airport

Once you arrive in San Pedro, Captain Morgan’s Retreat is pleased to offer complimentary one-way or round-trip transfers to our timeshare owners.

Owners receive one pick-up and drop-off from the San Pedro airport terminal per visit (up to 4 guests).

Please note that transfers are offered between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.

Private arrangements must be made at the timeshare owner’s expense if transportation is required outside of these hours.

Please add $5 USD one-way or $10 USD round-trip for each additional guest over the age of 6.
